A Rather Royal Achievement

Winner of the The Kings Award for International Trade 2026

We're incredibly proud to announce that DCUK has been honoured with a 2026 King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade, one of the UK's highest honours for business.

For our team here in Devon, our talented makers in Indonesia, our wonderful stockists and everyone who has welcomed a DCUK character into their home over the years, it's a very special moment.

For us, this King's Award isn't simply about exporting products. It's recognition of an original way of working. One built on creativity, traditional craftsmanship, lasting partnerships and the belief that small, thoughtful gifts can make a big difference.

As Craig Wensley, DCUK's owner, says:

"To see an independent British gifting brand recognised in this way feels very special indeed. We're especially grateful for the ongoing support and enthusiasm from our team, our makers, official stockists, and all our collectors around the world."

A rather special honour

The King's Awards for Enterprise recognise outstanding UK businesses that have demonstrated exceptional success over many years. They are independently judged against demanding criteria, with recommendations passing through expert advisory panels before being approved by His Majesty The King. For the International Trade award, businesses must demonstrate exceptional and sustained growth in overseas markets, benchmarked against organisations of a similar size and sector. It recognises long-term success, resilience and ambition, rather than simply rewarding one outstanding year. Only five Devon businesses received a King's Award for Enterprise in 2026, with just three recognised for International Trade. DCUK is incredibly proud to be one of them
