Shaped by nature, sculpted in Java

Anyam (pronounced ahn-yham), meaning ‘weave’ or ‘woven’ in Indonesian, is a playful interpretation of generational handcraft techniques. Inspired by the fluid form of the Indian Runner duck, Anyam’s sculpted silhouette is echoed in the rippling grain patterns of bamboo root.

Javanese artists layer carefully selected slices of bamboo root to create a natural tapestry of warm colour, rhythm, and texture. A sustainable, locally abundant material, bamboo gives Anyam a tactile quality that celebrates both nature and Indonesian craft heritage.
